Moulana Abdur Rahman Kolia

Moulana Abdur Rahman Ibn Hafez Hussein Kolia was born in 1978 in Vereeniging. He completed the memorisation of the Noble Quran in 1991 under the renowned Hafez Abdur Rahman of Waterval Islamic Institute (Mias Farm). He then pursued his studies at Madressah Arabia Islamia and completed the Aalim course in 1999.

In 2000, Moulana Kolia became the Imam of Masjid Noor in Roshnee, where he continues to serve as Imam, as well as providing daily Tafseer lessons and performing Taraweeh during Ramadhan. He has also taught at Madressah Miftahul Uloom and served as Principal of the Institute.

Moulana has translated several notable works, including the 4-volume Kashful Baari – Commentary of Saheeh Bukhari, Shamil Kubra, and the Maktubaat of Mujaddid Alf Thani RA. He has received authorisation in both the Naqshbandi and Chistiyyiah Silsilahs, and he conducts Zikr Programs regularly.
